Ratan Tata

Ratan Tata is a renowned Indian industrialist and philanthropist who has made substantial contributions to the Tata Group, one of India’s largest and oldest businesses. Born on December 28, 1937, in Mumbai, he served as the chairman of Tata Group from 1991 to 2012, and then as interim chairman from 2016 to 2017.

Under his leadership, Tata Group developed abroad, purchasing companies such as Corus, Jaguar Land Rover, and Tetley Tea. He also led the creation of the Tata Nano, the world’s cheapest car, with the goal of making car ownership more accessible to more people.

Ratan Tata is well-known for his philanthropic efforts, in addition to his economic achievements. He has received the Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan, two of India’s highest civilian accolades.
