Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving in 2024 is celebrated today, November 28th. It’s a time for family and friends to gather, share a celebratory feast, and give thanks for the blessings in their lives. Roast turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie are common traditional foods.

The holiday originated in a 1621 harvest feast held by the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag tribe. Thanksgiving became a national holiday in the United States in 1863, due to President Abraham Lincoln.
